Manually setting recuperative deceleration
You can use the steering wheel gearshift paddles to adjust the intensity of recuperation in the 
, 
and 
drive programs.
The following recuperation levels are available:
No recuperation: the vehicle rolls freely 
Increased recuperation: strong deceleration in overrun mode, e.g. for driving on downhill gradients Standard setting:
: if the ECO Assist function is activated in the multimedia system More. - : if the ECO Assist function is deactivated in the multimedia system.

To increase recuperation:
briefly pull gearshift paddle

briefly pull gearshift paddle 
. Standard setting:
pull and hold gearshift paddle or or engage transmission position again. When the vehicle is started again, the standard setting is also set.
The driver display shows the currently selected recuperation level next to the transmission position display.
