Function of the DYNAMIC SELECT button (plug-in hybrid)

Depending on the equipment, the vehicle has different drive programs.

Depending on the drive program selected, the following systems change their characteristics:

  • Drive

    • Engine and transmission management

    • Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC

  • Suspension

    • Suspension and damping

    • Vehicle level

  • Steering

  • ESP®

Use the DYNAMIC SELECT switch to change between the drive programs. The chosen drive program appears in the driver display.

Individual ()

  • Individual settings

Sport

  • Sporty driving with the combustion engine and reinforced boost effect

  • Lowered driving level

  • Only suitable for good road conditions, a dry road surface and a clear stretch of road

Hybrid

  • Comfortable and economical driving

  • Full development of all intelligent hybrid functions

  • Adjustable recuperation in overrun mode

  • The selection of the matching drive type by the hybrid system depends on the driving conditions and the distance

Electric ()

  • Electric mode – driving without the combustion engine is possible up to approx. 140 km/h

  • Adjustable recuperation in overrun mode

  • Adaptation of Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC for electric mode

  • Depending on the equipment, the maximum set speed for cruise control, limiter and Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC can be limited to the maximum electrically drivable speed

  • Activation of the combustion engine via the pressure point of the accelerator pedal (kickdown)

Battery Hold

  • Prioritised maintenance of the state of charge of the high-voltage battery, e.g. for journeys in the inner city/low emission zones

  • The selection of the matching drive type by the hybrid system depends on the driving conditions and the distance

  • Adjustable recuperation in overrun mode
