If the mobile phone is in a protective case, this can impair the functionality.
The key is not needed for any further starts.
The "Digital Vehicle Key" service can be deactivated at Mercedes me homepage. The function is then deactivated in the mobile phone via an online connection. If connection to the Internet is not possible, e.g. after the mobile phone or the Digital Vehicle Key sticker has been stolen, the key function can be deactivated at a Mercedes-Benz service centre.
