The multifunction display shows the current status.
If the Attention Assist inoperative message is shown in the multifunction display, ATTENTION ASSIST is not available due to a malfunction and is deactivated.
The next submenu is shown in the multifunction display.
When ATTENTION ASSIST is active, the indicator lamp lights up in the instrument cluster.
If you deactivate ATTENTION ASSIST in a vehicle without steering wheel buttons, the system remains deactivated even after you restart the vehicle. The status of the system after restarting the vehicle always corresponds to the status last selected.
The current setting is displayed.
If ATTENTION ASSIST is activated, the symbol is shown in the status area of the multifunction display.
Standard: normal system sensitivity
Sensitive: higher system sensitivity. The driver is warned earlier and the attention level detected by the system (Attention Level) is adapted accordingly.
If you deactivate ATTENTION ASSIST in a vehicle with steering wheel buttons, the system will be automatically reactivated when you restart the vehicle. The system sensitivity then corresponds to the last selection activated – Standard or Sensitive.
