Function of the PASSENGER AIR BAG indicator lamps

The front passenger airbag can be enabled or disabled using the airbag off switch in the instrument panel on the front passenger side More.

The PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF and PASSENGER AIR BAG ON indicator lamps are part of the front passenger airbag shutoff.

The indicator lamps display the status of the front passenger airbag:

PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF lights up: the front passenger airbag is disabled. It will then not be deployed in the event of an accident.
PASSENGER AIR BAG ON lights up: the front passenger airbag is enabled. The front passenger airbag may deploy during an accident.
