Securing a Top Tether
WARNING Risk of injury or death if the rear seat backrests are not locked after fitting Top Tether belts
The rear seat backrests can fold forwards.
As a result, child restraint systems can no longer perform their intended protective function. In addition, further injuries may be caused.
Always lock rear seat backrests after fitting Top Tether belts.
Move the rear seat backrests into an upright position.
Ensure that the rear seat backrest is engaged. To do so, pull forcefully on the seat backrest.
