The seat belt warning lamp in the Instrument Display is a reminder that all vehicle occupants must wear their seat belts correctly.
A warning tone may also sound.
The seat belt warning goes out when the driver's seat belt is fastened. Depending on the vehicle's equipment the seat belt warning may go out as soon as the driver's and co-driver seat belts are fastened.
Only for certain countries: regardless of whether the driver's seat belt is already fastened, the seat belt warning lamp lights up for six seconds every time the vehicle is switched on. After the vehicle is started, it goes out as soon as the driver's seat belt is fastened.
