Selecting avoid options

Multimedia system:

Avoiding or using motorways, ferries, tunnels, motorail trains, unpaved roads

Activate or deactivate the avoid option.

Avoid: the indicator lamp is lit. The route avoids motorways, for example.

Use: the indicator lamp is not lit. The route takes motorways into consideration, for example.

These route options are not available in every country.

The selected route options cannot always be taken into account. Therefore, a route may include a ferry, for instance, even though the Avoid ferries avoid option is enabled. A message then appears and you will hear a corresponding message.

Avoiding or using toll roads

Select Toll roads.

Activate or deactivate Avoid all.

Avoid: the indicator lamp is lit. The route avoids all toll roads.

Use: the indicator lamp is not lit. The route takes into account all roads that require the payment of a usage fee (toll).

To avoid a type of payment:

select Avoid.

The route avoids all toll roads with the selected method of payment.

To use a type of payment:

select Use.

The route takes into account all toll roads with the selected method of payment.

This route option is not available in all countries.

Avoiding or using roads requiring a special toll sticker

Select Vignette roads.

Activate or deactivate All.

Activate or deactivate the countries.

Avoid: the indicator lamp is lit. The route avoids roads requiring a special toll sticker in the selected countries.

Use: the indicator lamp is not lit. The route takes into account roads in the selected country which require you to pay a time-based fee (vignette). A vignette allows for the use of a route network for a limited time period.

This route option is not available in all countries.
