Cockpit overview
Instrument Display, electric motor power availability display
Select the electric motor power availability display.
Instrument Display, power meter
Select the power meter.
The current status of the hybrid system is displayed in Instrument Display . You can choose between the electric motor power availability display or the power meter display.
The multifunction display also shows the events ahead detected by ECO Assist. ECO Assist helps you make optimum use of all hybrid functions for the distance ahead.
Media display, energy flow display
In the multimedia system menu EQ select Energy flow.
In the energy flow display, the media display shows the energy flow between all active components of the hybrid system and the current charge level of the high-voltage battery.
All settings for the plug-in hybrid are configured in the multimedia system menu EQ.
Immediate auxiliary climate control
Immediate auxiliary climate control may continue to cool or heat up the vehicle interior for up to 50 minutes if the journey is interrupted.
DYNAMIC SELECT switch
By pressing DYNAMIC SELECT switch you can select different drive programs which will influence driving characteristics.
The following drive programs are available:
(Individual)
(Sport +)
(Sport)
(Comfort)
(Electric)
(Battery Level)
(Eco)
Manually setting recuperative deceleration
In drive program , you can use the steering wheel gearshift paddles to manually adjust the intensity of overrun recuperation. In the standard setting 
, the deceleration in overrun mode is intelligently controlled for recuperation.
Haptic accelerator pedal
In drive program , the haptic accelerator pedal features an additional point of resistance to help you drive fully electrically. The pressure point indicates the maximum available electric performance.
Refuelling – Depressurising the high-pressure fuel tank
Before refuelling, you must first depressurise the tank by pressing the button . When the pressure in the high-pressure fuel tank is relieved and the fuel filler flap is open for refuelling, the indicator lamp on the button lights up.
Charge the high-voltage battery when stationary
You can charge the high-voltage battery with alternating current (mode 2 or 3).
Depending on the national version, your vehicle is equipped with one of the following vehicle sockets.
Type 1 vehicle socket
Type 2 vehicle socket
The following prerequisites must be fulfilled for stationary charging of the high-voltage battery:
the transmission is in position
. the vehicle is unlocked.
the bonnet is closed.
the hybrid system is not activated. The
indicator on the multifunction display is off. the charging cable is not taut.
